Carnival Cruise Line Dining

Your Choice Dining  on Carnival Cruise Line provides a selection of three different dinner seating options. In addition to Early  (6pm) and Late (8:15pm) assigned seating, ‘Your Time’ open seating is available to accommodate individual guest preferences.  By popular request, all dining rooms are smoke-free.

At time of booking, you will be able to confirm your preferred Carnival Cruise Line dining choice. If your preference is not available, you may confirm an alternate time and be waitlisted for your preferred choice. Waitlists will be cleared prior to the sailing and guests will be notified by email. Parties traveling together who are waitlisted together will be cleared on the same dining time.

Lunch and dinner are also available bistro-style on the Lido Deck. Spirit-Class, Conquest-Class, Carnival Splendor, Dream-Class and Carnival Sunshine have the added convenience of a reservations-recommended steakhouse as well as Cucina del Capitano, an Italian restaurant on the Carnival Magic, Carnival Breeze and Carnival Sunshine. A nominal fee is charged for both restaurants.

For those guests who choose Early or Late dining, the assigned dining room and table number will be printed on the Guests’ Sail & Sign card which they receive when they check-in on embarkation day.

What Kind of Restaurants can You Expect on a Carnival Ship?

You will find onboard all ships and free of charge:

• Main Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with waitstaff.  Attire is either cruise casual or elegant cruise attire.  The number of cruise elegant nights is dependent on number of sailing nights.
• Seaview Bistro – located in the Lido Restaurant is a dinnertime alternative to the ship’s main dining rooms. The attire is casual and the meals are served buffet-style. The Bistro operates from 6:00pm-9:30pm nightly and offers an array of pastas, steaks, prime rib, grilled chicken, specialty salads and desserts along with a daily Chef’s Special.
• The Pizzeria located in the Lido Restaurant and is open 24 hours a day. The menu includes seven varieties of oven-baked pizza, calzone, Caesar salad and garlic bread.
• Carnival Deli – In the Lido Restaurant – Deli sandwiches piled-high and favorite sides
• Salad Bar – In the Lido Restaurant – Elaborate salad bar featuring 35 items
• Taste of Nations – In the Lido Restaurant – Featuring a different International cuisine each day
• Dessert Bar – In the Lido Restaurant – Desserts including sugar-free selections
• The Grill (on most ships) located in the Lido Restaurant –  Hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and fries
• Soft Serve Ice Cream & Yogurt – Soft Ice cream (chocolate and vanilla) and Frozen Yogurt (chocolate or strawberry or vanilla… changes each day) is available 24/7 in the Lido Restaurant or poolside area.
• Room Service – 24-Hour Room Service menu which includes sandwiches, salads, desserts and beverages
• The following beverages are available in the Lido Deck Restaurant, 24/7 and are complimentary: Coffee; Hot Tea; Hot Chocolate; Lemonade; Unsweetened Iced Tea.

On select ships (and eventually rolling out to all ships) you will find fabulous specialty restaurants:

• Blue Iguana Cantina Carnival is expanding on its wide array of dining options with an exciting new venue, the BlueIguana Cantina. This complimentary poolside dining destination, open for breakfast and lunch, offers guests freshly made burritos (breakfast burritos in the morning) and tacos on homemade tortillas they can make their own with a variety of salsas and toppings. Hungry guests can also watch the tortilla maker create fresh wheat and jalapeño tortillas, then enjoy three types of tacos with a variety of toppings, and three kinds of burritos with fantastic fillings, plus chips and salsa. • Guy’s Burger Joint – Carnival and successful restaurateur, cookbook author and television star Guy Fieri have come together to cook up the best burgers at sea, and best of all, they are free! Guests have a choice of delicious fresh-off-the-grill burgers designed by Fieri, or they can make their own at a condiment bar by adding a variety of tasty toppings. Burgers are complemented by hand-cut fries. For lunch, a snack or early dinner, guests can drop by this laid-back poolside dining venue modeled after a road-side burger joint off an iconic coastal highway.(Free)
• Italian Pasta Bar – Pasta Bar featuring choices of pasta, sauce and ingredients to create a custom-made dish (Free)
• Mongolian Wok – offering custom-made stir-fry with the guest’s choice of meat and vegetables and finished with one of Carnival’s signature sauces (Free)
• Indian Tandoor – A Tandoor oven offering Indian-style chicken, fish and meatballs along with traditional bread, chutneys and relishes
• Mexican – Burrito Bar where guests can create overstuffed wraps featuring choices of chicken, beef, shrimp, salsa and other accompaniments (Free)
• Red Frog Pub – Offers a laid-back Caribbean vibe with island-inspired snacks and drinks, including ThirstyFrog Red, a private-label draught beer brewed especially for Carnival. Guests can nosh on Bahamian conch salad, grouper fingers, firecracker Jamaican chicken wings and other Caribbean favorites. There is a nominal fee, $3.33 for snacks (a la carte). The fee does not include any beverage that is normally ordered through bar service.
• Lanai Oceanside Barbeque – Open-air barbeque features a variety of popular grilled items, from sliders and chicken to quesadillas and hot dogs, along with salads, homemade chips and salsa, and traditional barbecue accompaniments.
• Cucina del Capitano – A delicious dinner-time option with made-to-order Italian favorites in comfortable, relaxed surroundings. There is a nominal $12 charge per adult and $5 charge per child 11 and under. The fee does not include any beverage that is normally ordered through bar service. The restaurant is also open for lunch with a complimentary made-to-order pasta bar.
• The Steakhouse – With an elegant, but fun-filled, relaxed and somewhat casual atmosphere and a menu that includes steakhouse favorites, the Steakhouse is guaranteed to be a favorite dining spot. There is a nominal fee of $35 per guest. The fee does not include any beverage that is normally ordered through bar service.
