As you know from “My Life Lesson on the Carnival Triumph”, I was on board the Carnival Triumph on the February 7th, 2013 cruise to Cozumel. Our 4 day girlfriends cruise turned into 7, and we learned so much about life, friends and survival. One of the ways we got through the ordeal was with humor and compiling this Cruise Ship Survival List.
Let me begin by saying that cruise ship travel is still one of the safest means of travel and one of the most economical ways to vacation. You have more chance of danger just by crossing the street. What happened to us on the Triumph is very rare and could only be a once in a lifetime occurrence.
This list is not only intended for disaster purposes, but to help make sure you are prepared for anything that may arise on your cruise vacation. This list is not in any type of order of importance.
Here we go:
- Your Passport
- Purse size flashlight and an extra AA battery
- Air freshener
- Refillable cup for everyone in your cabin
- Hand Sanitizer
- Sunscreen
- 1 bottle of wine per person in your stateroom
- Cork Screw
- Make-up Remover Wipes
- LED battery operated candles
- Earplugs
- Extra medication
- Extra power strip
- Extra under garments
- Small swiss army knife
- A deck of cards
Bon Voyage!
